Howard Simon Anton, MSHI, BSN, RN | Technical Lead | Tempus Labs, Inc.

Driven by an interest in computers, technology and data, Howard Simon Anton, MSHI, BSN, RN currently excels as a technical lead of integration order and results for Tempus Labs, Inc. In this role since 2022, he is responsible for analyzing hospital data by retrieving computer-coded information from practical data solutions and translating the JavaScript object notation into a comprehensive hospital charting system for the contracted health institution. Mr. Anton previously served Tempus Labs, Inc. as an integration analyst and senior integration analyst between 2019 and 2022.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Anton earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Morton College in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois, Chicago. With this educational background, he went on to serve Loyola Medicine MacNeal Hospital as a registered nurse and nursing supervisor between 2010 and 2019. When he began to feel that the practice of nursing was more about doing business rather than providing health care, Mr. Anton pivoted his expertise and, in 2019, received a Master of Science in health informatics from the University of Illinois Chicago, a field where hospital data is analyzed to reach a meaningful conclusion. He also attained his “care everywhere” certification via the Epic Systems Corporation in 2021.

Mr. Anton attributes his success to his self-worth, valuable expertise in his specialty and to his former partner, who encouraged him to pursue his vocational path in health informatics. Additionally, he is proud of changing his occupational course from nursing to the field of his interest in computer technology and data, especially after working as a nurse with minimal benefits and resources. In five years’ time, Mr. Anton aspires to achieve stability and hopes to gain more knowledge in his specialty to further advance in his career
